The Indian beer industry is at an important stage of evolution, presenting both opportunities and challenges across regulatory, operational and market dimensions. As Secretary General of the All India Brewers Association (AIBA), my focus is on strengthening the association as a credible, knowledge-led and professionally driven industry body.
AIBA’s role is not only to represent industry interests, but to enable informed, evidence-based dialogue with policymakers and stakeholders. In a diverse regulatory environment, we are committed to advocating for greater consistency, transparency and ease of doing business, while ensuring full alignment with compliance and governance standards.
A key priority is to build deeper engagement across our membership base, including brewers, emerging players and allied sectors. By strengthening data capabilities, research initiatives and structured industry forums, we aim to create a platform that reflects the collective voice of the industry.
We remain equally committed to promoting responsible growth, sustainability and consumer awareness, reinforcing beer category’s position within a culture of moderation.
AIBA will continue to work with a long-term perspective, focused on professionalism, collaboration and shaping a progressive, globally aligned beer ecosystem in India.
